You are cordially invited to the Winter School of Croatian Folklore, which will take place in Sisak from 3 to 12 January 2025, organised by the Croatian Heritage Foundation
The Winter Folklore School will include a programme of dances, costumes and musical instruments from the DINARA REGION: Lika, Velebit Channel, Ravni Kotari, Bukovica, Zadar Coast, Pag Island, Ugljan and Dugi otok, Šibenik-Primošten Coast, Dalmatian hinterland and islands, Drniš and Sinj regions, Poljica, Biokovo hinterland, Imotski region and Neretva valley, as well as the dances of the Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina belonging to this dance area: western and northern Herzegovina, Završje, Kupres, western Bosnia and the central Bosnian highlands.
Participants can choose one of the three programmes on offer: DANCE, TAMBURA or TRADITIONAL INSTRUMENTS.
The main and professional programme director of the Winter Folklore School is Prof. Andrija Ivančan, also the director of the dance programme. The head of the tambura programme is Tibor Bün with guest lecturer Siniša Leopold, and the head of the traditional instruments programme is Vjekoslav Martinić.

The CHF has also made it possible to waive tuition fees for Croats abroad on the basis of an approved written request from their cultural community or association. Please send your request for exemption no later than 10 December 2024.
The tuition fee is EUR 90 and is payable according to the invoice received from the Croatian Heritage Foundation and must be paid before the start of the School.
Full board accommodation is organised for all participants at the Hotel Panonija in Sisak, Ulica Ivana Kukuljevića Sakcinskog 21. The price of full board with overnight stay (VAT) is EUR 50.00 per person per day. The accommodation is to be paid by the participant in advance on the basis of an invoice, which can be requested directly from the Hostel at racunovodstvo@hotel-panonija.hr or at the hotel by payment at the reception.
