Croatian Catholic Radio has begun broadcasting its Živa veza (“Living Bond”) show, targeted to the Croatian diaspora. The show is edited and anchored by Tuga Tarle.

From the 10th of October Croatian Catholic Radio will air the Živa veza (“Living Bond”) show at 8PM local time. The show is targeted to the Croatian diaspora.

The show was conceived and launched by the priest Fabijan Svalina. In the premiere show he expressed his wish to see Croatians around the world networking and creating bonds. He was encouraged to launch the show by the discussions and meetings at the 3rd Diaspora Congress held in Osijek in late June.

Guests of the first show were Ruža Studer-Babić, a resident of Switzerland, editor of the My Homeland Internet portal and the representative of the Croatians living in Switzerland on Croatian Government’s advisory board on Croats abroad, and Dragica Vukelić, a second-generation ethnic Croatian born in Chile. Vukelić is also author of the book Halcones en mi alma (“Hawks in My Soul“).

The show is edited and anchored by Tuga Tarle. She has called on Croatians around the world to join the show Wednesday by sending SMS messages to +385/99/460-9988.

In her message to Croatian listeners around the world the show’s anchor Tarle asked them to, “Follow our show and tell us about the things you see, your experiences and life stories. This is also a place to ask those questions that are close to the heart of Croatians abroad. Help us breath real life into this Living Bond, to give it a permanent home among us.”
