A solo exhibition featuring a new series of paintings entitled Krajolici (Landscapes) by Dubrovnik-based academy educated painter Nada Zec Ivanović opened Thursday, 17 January at the Croatian Heritage Foundation branch office in Dubrovnik.

Nada Zec Ivanović’s previous series, Friendship, was featured at a November 2011 exhibition. The latest series focuses on the paysage motif. Speaking of the new series, art historian Lucija Orešić noted that, “We can always recognise a Dubrovnik artist by the local colour, regardless of the milieu in which we observe their paintings. The paintings of Nada Zec Ivanović displayed here confirm this premise and build on her fruitful oeuvre, both in content and in morphology, with a shift towards a new theme—paysage.”

Maja Mozara, who heads the Dubrovnik branch of the CHF, noted that this was the first exhibition in the new season, adding that she hoped it would be even more successful than last year’s. She noted that the exhibition programme at the Croatian Heritage Foundation Gallery was launched during the last St Blaise festival with an exhibition by Mišo Baričević on the topic of the festival, and continued with exhibitions featuring the work of Lorena Ligorija, Iris Dvornik, Josip Ivanović, Ljiljana Knez and Emil Bobanović Ćolić. She thanked selector Marin Ivanović, those who have collaborated to date and her fellow Dubrovnians, regular attendants of CHF programmes, and invited all those who were not able to be on hand for the opening to visit the exhibition, open during the morning hours over the coming fifteen days. The gallery is located in the City at No. 7 Petilovrijenci.
