The Creating Theatre seminar was again this year led by stage director Nina Kleflin from Zagreb. Under Ms Kleflin’s expert leadership the participating theatre amateurs presented an adaptation of Ivo Brešan’s Staging Hamlet in the Village of Mrduša Donja for the final evening’s demonstration class. Antonio Gregurović, a student from Kotor, and Ivana Džojić from Orašje, demonstrated a particular level of excellence.
The Cultural and Religious Heritage of the Croatians of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the first incarnation of this event, was staged in Zagreb on the 7th and 8th of July, drawing the participation of over twenty heritage communities and associations of Croatians in Croatia and neighbouring Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The first evening of the event was staged at the premises of event co-organiser the CHF. The other co-organisers are the Prsten association of Bosnian Croats, the parish of St Mary of the Angels and the Croatian Community of Bosnia-Herzegovina. A meeting was staged at which Mr Čović and Cardinal Vinko Puljić met with Croatians from Bosnia-Herzegovina now living in Croatia.

Frairs Toni Mutnik and Vlado Klement Novak celebrated their fiftieth year of service, while Friar Euzebijo Petar Mak celebrated his sixtieth. Their many years of work in the service of the Roman Catholic Church and the ethnic Croatian community in Sydney has earned them the gratitude of their parishioners.
Congress founder Marin Sopta spoke about what has changed since the first congress. Also drawing much attention were panel discussions on the media and health tourism, where we heard presentations of positive examples, including presentations of successful entrepreneurship, health tourism and various innovative projects.

The culture segment is organised by the Croatian Heritage Foundation and includes academic and in-the-field lectures on Croatian culture and history, expert guided visits to museums, galleries, culture and research institutions, exhibitions, stage plays and more.
