HKD Jadran delegation visits the CHF

The HKD Jadran president Vinko Stanišić, secretary Dean Bazina, treasurer Željko Resovac and member Ivo Biloglav were received by CHF director Marin Knezović and his staff. The visit to Zagreb included thirty members of HKD Jadran and the Croatian Women’s Society of Malmö.

A new book by Tuge Tarle

Ariadne’s Thread, a collection of short stories, was presented by the author at the Literary Circle in Split. During her more than one decade long career as a diplomat, teacher and writer Tuga Tarle has worked in Australia, Spain, Chile and Slovakia. She has written about these experiences in two books.

Virtual exhibition featuring Split in Graz

The Split Around the Corner exhibition was presented at the encouragement of the CHF Split with the collaboration of the Museum of the City of Split, the Napredak Croatian Culture Society of Graz, the Association of Croatian Students in Graz and the Austrian-Croatian Initiative.

Boka’s wealth of heritage presented in Pula

From the History of Boka Kotorska—The Cravat Among the People of Boka is a three-week exhibition featuring some sixty photographs, for the most part portraits of well- and lesser-known Bokelj figures taken from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century. This exhibition has already been shown in Padua, Trieste, Tivat and Zagreb and features the cravat (necktie) as, in the words of Nikola Albaneže of the Academia Cravatica, a global phenomenon.

Veterans of Hajduk book promo in Toronto

The illustrated monograph by the head of the Split branch office of the CHF Branka Bezić-Filipović was presented to the Croatian community in the province of Ontario early this March, including a screening of a number of excerpts from the eponymous documentary film. The book was also presented in London, Ontario—home to numerous Hajduk enthusiasts.

The majority of research activity in the field of computer and corpus linguistics and human language technology in Croatia is supported by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport through projects linked with human language technologies and the Ministry of Culture through cultural heritage digitalisation projects.

CFU Junior Tamburitza Festival in Zagreb

The CHF will play host to the 47th CFU JUNIOR TAMBURITZA FESTIVAL. Scheduled for the three-day programme are a number of interesting gatherings and concerts. Sixteen CFU-member ensembles are expected to make the trip from the USA and Canada, joined by four local ensembles.
