4 Min Read

Read our interview with translator Nicolas Raljević, recently decorated with the Order of the Croatian Morning Star for his contribution to the promotion of Croatian dramatic arts and literature in France, and about a promising young operatic bass singer born in Karlovac and earning acclaim at the opera in Stuttgart.

Our July issue features all our regular sections, including Marin Knezović’s look into our history, Darko Mihelj’s study of our endemic flora and fauna, Nika Jakab’s section on Croatia’s fauna, and Sanja Vulić’s look at our language, and focuses on the Sutla River which forms part of the border between Croatia and neighbouring Slovenia.

We also offer an in depth look at the celebration of the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the Croatian Heritage Foundation staged at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.

In our continuing look at Croatian language lectors abroad this month we learn of the Polish city of Poznań from lector Ninoslav Radaković.
