Iserlohn – Ilok 2015 Art Competition

The jubilee 15th competition aims to animate Croatian children from the Danubian countries, with the core mission of bringing children from the homeland and emigrant communities together. Competitions to date have gathered children from fourteen countries.

Competition topic: The Danube – A River of Fantasies
The competition and exhibition of artwork by Croatian pupils from around the world will be staged in Germany and Croatia, with the collaboration of Hrvatski Glas Berlin, the Museum of the City of Ilok and Julije Benešić Elementary School in Ilok.
Art technique: combined technique (mix media), collage, paint, Indian ink, marker…
Format: DIN A3
Participation is open to the children of Croatians in the emigrant communities and to pupils from Croatia in the age group from the 1st to 8th grades of elementary school.
Please note: Every participant must print the following on the back of the work: name & surname, address, the city and country of residence, school grade they are attending, the name of a Croatian association, school or Catholic mission in which they are active, the name of the teacher under whose mentorship the work was created.

The deadline for the submission of works is 15 February 2015.

The announcement of the best works will be staged at the Municipal Gallery in Iserlohn by the end of March 2015.
The exhibition in Croatia will be staged at the Museum of the City of Ilok in early September 2015 during the Ilok grape harvest festival. Prizes will be awarded to three pupils in the two categories from grades 1 through 4 and from grades 5 through 8.
