Croatian World Congress Opens New Office

The new premises, at No 14C Fra Grge Martića street, was blessed by friar Miljenko Mića Stojić from Mostar, followed by a welcome address from Croatian World Congress president Vinko Sabljo.

Many leading society figures from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the diaspora communities, who made the trip from around the world, gathered in Zagreb on the 11th of May for the official opening of the new office of the Croatian World Congress. The new premises, at No 14C Fra Grge Martića street, were blessed by friar Miljenko Mića Stojić from Mostar, followed by a welcome address from CWC president Vinko Sabljo.

At the opening of the office Mr Sabljo expressed his particular thanks to Zagreb’s mayor Mr Milan Bandić, represented at the ceremony by his deputy Ms Olivera Majić, and expressed his hope that the newly opened premises would be a place of meeting and gathering for Croatians in the homeland and in the diaspora communities around the world.

Also on hand for the opening on Fra Grge Martića street was member of parliament and the head of the parliamentary foreign policy committee Mr Miro Kovač MP, member of parliament and president of the Croatian National Assembly of Bosnia-Herzegovina organisation Mr Božo Ljubić MP, the mayor Mostar Mr Ljubo Bešlić, the director of the Croatian Heritage Foundation Mijo Marić and Ms Ivana Perkušić, deputy to state secretary Mr Zvonko Milas of the State Office for Croats Abroad, representing Croatia’s prime minister Andrej Plenković.
