The programme of this year’s presentation ceremony for the traditional Večernji list Domovnica awards, staged in Germany’s Bad Homburg, will include a fashion show featuring the creations of designer Gordana Zucić organised by the Dubrovnik branch office of the Croatian Heritage Foundation.
Zucić has worked with the CHF’s Dubrovnik branch office on numerous projects in Croatia and abroad. She has worked with leading figures from the entertainment scene for over thirty years and has twice made the trip to the Eurovision song contest, with the band representing Bosnia-Herzegovina in Riga in 2004 and with the Croatian contenders in Oslo in 2010. Her fashion creations have been featured in Vienna, Salzburg, Manila, Paris, Madrid, Cape Town, Chicago, Zagreb, Dubrovnik and many other cities. She has received numerous recognitions for her work.
The Večernjakova domovnica event, an annual celebration of the leading figures in the emigrant communities, is organised by the foreign edition of the Večernji List newspaper.
It is the most prestigious such event outside of the homeland and features appearances by leading performing artists. Stipe Puđa, the editor of the foreign edition of Večernji List, based in Frankfurt, said he was pleased with the organisation of the event and added that many leading figures from the homeland and the emigrant communities would be on hand, noting in particular participants from Dubrovnik, as Bad Homburg and Dubrovnik are sister cities.
