August/September Double Issue of Matica Magazine Available

The latest issue focuses on the rich and diverse summer programmes offered by the Croatian Heritage Foundation: the University School of Croatian Language and Culture in Zagreb, the Little School of Croatian Language and Culture in Novi Vinodolski, the Traditional Folk Costume Review and Miss Croatian Folk Costume Pageant for Croatians Abroad, homeland tours for diaspora community folklore groups, the Task Force in Fužine and on the island of Cres, the Creating Theatre seminar, the Summer School of Croatian Folklore and much, much, more.

The August/September double issue of Matica magazine is fresh off the presses and features a wealth of articles and photos from the homeland and around the world.

The cover photo of this double issue features a photograph of Baljenac island taken by Boris Kačan from the article on the 160th anniversary of the birth of Hvar native I. Vučetić. The anniversary was celebrated with the Ivan Vučetić—Native of Hvar and Resident of the World exhibition at the town loggia in Hvar.

Also featured among the many articles in this issue is a look at the first incarnation of the Cultural and Religious Heritage of the Croatians of Bosnia-Herzegovina event under the motto “Restoring Hope in the Homeland”.
