The one-year master course in leadership will be taught entirely in English and will focus on teaching organisational development.

Zvonko Milas, the state secretary at the State Office for Croats Abroad, and Jurica Pavičić, the dean of the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Economics and Business, signed a collaboration agreement on 22 April that will see a new course offered in the coming academic year that is adapted to the needs of Croatians in the diaspora.

The one-year master course in leadership will be taught entirely in English and will focus on teaching organisational development. The core of the course will be expanded with lectures and visits to leading domestic and foreign companies operating in the country and our key institutions.

Milas said he was encouraged to see the launch of a leadership programme and expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the State Office for Croats Abroad and the Faculty of Economics and Business. “Our office took part in crafting this study programme and I am confident that we have a master course we can be proud of. The Faculty of Economics and Business is accredited and globally competitive, which makes it attractive to youth looking to spend a year in Croatia, gaining not just knowledge and an internationally recognised diploma, but also their own and authentic experience of Croatia today.”

The faculty’s dean Pavičić and the head of the course professor Darko Tipurić also expressed their satisfaction with the new study programme and noted that the Faculty of Economics and Business is the only faculty in the country to be accredited by the AACSB and wishes through this unique programme to be a place of integration for domestic students and those coming from the diaspora communities.
