The final ceremony for the Večernji List annual Domovnica award will be staged on Saturday, March 4th, at the Kurhaus congress hall in Bad Homburg near Frankfurt am Main. Awards will be conferred to the top male and female athletes, the best amateur sports team, the best male and female musicians, singers and actors, the top event of the year and the most successful Croatian association and person of the year
With the start of 2017 comes the opening of the nomination process for the Večernji List daily newspaper’s 11th annual Domovnica award, conferred to leading Croatians in the communities abroad. The newspaper’s European print edition features coupons for nominations for the most prestigious award in the emigrant communities in the sports, music, acting and entertainment categories. Awards will be conferred to the top male and female athletes, the best amateur sports team, the best male and female musicians, singers and actors, the top event of the year and the most successful Croatian association and person of the year. Every nomination must include basic information about the person submitting the nomination (telephone number and mail address) and information on the person or group being nominated with a short supporting statement.
The final ceremony for the Večernji List annual Domovnica award will be staged on Saturday, March 4th, at the Kurhaus congress hall in Bad Homburg near Frankfurt am Main. Bad Homburg is a town twinned with our Dubrovnik and has hosted all the Domovnica awards ceremonies to date.
This year’s ceremony is sure to feature the top names in Croatian popular music from the homeland and abroad, including rising star Ivan Zak and young singer Sementa Rajhard.
The awards ceremony will once again gather some six hundred guests from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, France, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia.
