10th gathering of Croatians in Italy and the 150th anniversary of the birth of St Leopold Bogdan Mandić

The celebration and gathering are organised by the Croatian Community of Veneto, the Krasna Zemljo Croatian Returnees Club and the Dubrovnik branch office of the Croatian Heritage Foundation.

The Croatian Community of Veneto, the Krasna Zemljo Croatian Returnees Club of Pula and the Dubrovnik branch office of the Croatian Heritage Foundation invite you to take part in the celebration of St Leopold Mandić feast day and the 150th anniversary of the saint’s birth and the jubilee 10th gathering of the Croatian community of Italy in Padua on the 14th and 15th of May at the shrine of St Leopold Bogdan Mandić, No 44 Piazzale S. Croce. (Poster)
The celebration includes a Saturday concert featuring the vocal ensemble of the Music Academy of Juraj Dobrila University in Pula and a Sunday lecture by friar Jakov Rafael Romić on the life and martyrdom of the Blessed Aloysius Stepinac, a presentation of Vinko Rožić’s book Providnosti ususret (Meeting Providence), the presentation of a bilingual song by singer-songwriter friar Šimun Šito Ćorić dedicated to St Leopold Bogdan Mandić and a commemorative sung Croatian language mass. The event is held under the auspices of the Croatian Embassy in Rome, the Croatian Heritage Foundation, the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula and the Poreč and Pula diocese of the Catholic Church.
