The book promo at the library in Dubrovnik was organised by the Croatian Heritage Foundation’s branch office in Dubrovnik and by the Croatian Civic Society of Montenegro. Among the guests from neighbouring Montenegro was journalist and publicist Mašo Čekić, on hand to present the book.
Writer Vlasta Mandić promoted Botunade, her latest book, at the Hall of Mirrors of the Dubrovnik People’s Library on the 14th of April. The satirical and humorous volume brings together the past and present, depicting life in Boka Kotorska. Although an architect by training, Mandić has already piqued the interest of readers in Montenegro and the broader region with her work. Her cookbook Bokeška kužina (Bokelj Kitchen) reached many readers and secured the writer’s success.

Musical interludes were provided by the women’s a cappella ensemble Klapa Bisernice Boke, founded, as was the ballet school in Kotor, by the author back in 1979.
