Ten scholarships of a total value of one hundred thousand kuna were provided by Franović, while a further five scholarships worth fifty thousand kuna were funded by the university.
During his visit to Sydney in 2015 the rector of the Croatian Catholic University professor Dr Željko Tanjić met with the owner of the Boka Group, Australian Croatian Marko Franović, known for his support of numerous projects of importance to the Croatian community in Australia.
At that meeting Franović expressed his desire to provide scholarship assistance to students. Following on this offer the Croatian Catholic University opened an application process for the granting of fifteen scholarships for the 2016/2017 academic semesters. Ten scholarships of a total value of one hundred thousand Croatian kuna were provided by Marko Franović, while a further five scholarships worth fifty thousand kuna were provided from funds earmarked in the university’s work and financial plan for the year 2017.
Rector Tanjić and the university’s management joined the entire academic community in expressing their thanks to Franović for this significant support of students of the Croatian Catholic University and of the university itself.
