The Koprivnica-Križevci County Tourism Board is organising the now traditional, eleventh annual open-air exhibition of large Easter eggs in the frame of the Easter Eggs from the Heart project.
This year Koprivnica’s main town square will feature thirteen large Easter eggs and nine smaller eggs. The Easter eggs have been painted by eight artists in the style of the much-admired Croatian naive art.

Some ninety such Easter eggs have been painted over the eleven-year history of the event. Thanks to the collaboration with the Croatian National Tourism Board the Easter eggs, spreading the joy of Easter, have graced the squares, galleries and fairgrounds of Rome and the Vatican (as a gift presented to Benedict XVI, the former supreme pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church), New York, Milan, Ferrara, Budapest, Klagenfurt, Brussels, Prague, Graz, Salzburg, Vienna, Munich, Bogdanci, Balatonboglár, Nikšić, Riverside, Pécs, Paris, Riga, Kotor, Međugorje, Subotica, Zagreb, Varaždin, Dubrovnik, Vukovar, Marseille, Unterpullendorf, Tomislavgrad, Orebić and Konstanz.
The exhibition on Koprivnica’s main square runs through to the 27th of March.
