This year’s Croatian Culture Congress was staged at the culture centre in Velenje. Nine Croatian associations in Slovenia took part with their respective sections.
This year’s Croatian Culture Congress in Slovenia was staged on the 20th of May at the culture centre in Velenje. Nine Croatian associations in Slovenia took part with their respective sections – the Pomurje Lendava Croatian Culture Association, the Međimurje Ljubljana Croatian Culture & Arts Society, the Croatian Society of Ljubljana, the Međimurje Folklore Society of Ljubljana, the Komušina Škofja Loka Croatian Culture & Arts Society, the Novo Mesto Croatian Culture Association, the Association of Croatian Students in Slovenia, the Istra Piran Croatian Culture & Arts Society and the Međimurje Velenje Culture Association.
The event was held under the auspices of the presidents of Croatia and Slovenia, with the associations presenting their Croatian cultural, folklore and musical heritage.
The event was organised by the Međimurje Velenje Culture Association.
All the groups offered excellent presentations of their music sections, including the junior sections – the largest junior group on hand was the Pčelice section of the Croatian Culture Association of Ljubljana.
