The Croatian Heritage Foundation (hereinafter referred to as CHF) places significant importance on protecting the security and privacy of your personal data, therefore, we operate in accordance with the applicable laws on the right to protection of data privacy and data security.

Personal Data

The CHF collects personal data on the basis of the legal purpose of collecting and voluntary provision of personal data of users and program participants, pursuant to existing legislation on personal data protection.

“Personal information” means any data relating to an individual whose identity has been determined or can be determined (“data subject”); an individual whose identity can be determined is a person who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular on the basis of identifiers such as name, identification number, location data, network identifier; or by means of one or more elements that are characteristic for the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of the individual.

Purpose of Data Use

Personal data are collected lawfully, fairly and transparently, and are processed pursuant to the purpose for which they were collected. CHF users providing personal data thereby consent to the collection of data for the purpose for which the user indicated, as well as for the purpose of statistical data, preparation of reports, issuance of a certificate of participation in the project, confirmation of project attendance, delivery of magazine or almanac, without user consent and accordingly, personal data of users are provided to third parties for the purpose of conducting the project for which the user applied.

Communication or Usage Data

By means of your use of telecommunications services to access our website, your communication data (e.g. Internet protocol address – IP address) or usage data (e.g. data on the beginning, end and duration of each access and information on telecommunications services accessed by you) are generated technically and could possibly be linked to personal data. In the event of an essential need, your communication or usage data will be collected, processed and used in accordance with the applicable legal framework for data privacy and protection.

Automatically Collected Non-Personal Data

When accessing our website, non-personal data (e.g. type of web browser and operating system, domain name of the referring website, number of visits, average time spent on a page, pages viewed) may be automatically collected.
