With the aim of encouraging young poets in Croatia and wherever in the world there is literary production in the Croatian language (among the Croatians living outside Croatia’s borders and among the emigrant communities) the Goran’s Spring event has invited submissions for the Goran Prize for young authors.
With the aim of encouraging young poets in Croatia and wherever in the world there is literary production in the Croatian language (among the Croatians living outside Croatia’s borders and among the emigrant communities) the Goran’s Spring event (organised by the Ivan Goran Kovačić Student Cultural and Artistic Association, http://www.igk.hr) has invited submissions for the Goran Prize for young authors.
Competition rules:
1. Poets up to thirty years of age whose poetry has not been published in book form are eligible for participation in the competition.
2. A complete manuscript of a collection of poetry must be submitted to the competition.
3. The manuscript must be accompanied by a short biography and the exact address of residence. (Manuscripts are not returned.)
4. A panel of judges consisting of contemporary Croatian writers will propose the best young poet for the Goran Prize. The prize shall consist of the publication of the young author’s first collection.
5. Other than the winning author, the participants will not be individually notified of the outcome of the competition.
6. The deadline for submissions is January 20th 2015.
