In the latest issue read all about the first ever conference of the newly established Association of Croatian American Professionals staged in Washington DC, the Book Night event at the CHF, the opening of the Apoxyomenos Museum in Mali Lošinj, new members of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts from the communities abroad and much, much more.

The May/June double issue of Matica magazine was released in early June, featuring many fascinating articles from the homeland and around the world. This double issue, not customary in our yearly release schedule, comes on the heels of CHF director Knezović’s expression of regret that, “Due to budgetary constraints and the need to reduce costs, Matica magazine will offer more frequent double issues in the course of the year.”
The cover features the planned restored Vukovar water tower from the article on the renovation of this symbol of the Homeland War of independence.
