CHF board of directors member Ivo Jelušić MP and CHF director Marin Knezović noted that the two-day visit at the invitation of the Croatian Civic Society of Montenegro was the expected continuation of many years of successful collaboration.
A Croatian Heritage Foundation delegation visited the Croatians of Montenegro last weekend at the invitation of the Croatian Civic Society of Montenegro.
The visit opened with a working meeting at the premises of the Croatian Civic Society in Kotor regarding the status of the CCS of Montenegro and the impressive results of the work of the Society among the Croatians in this country (http://hrvaticg.com).
The delegation, led by CHF director Marin Knezović informed their hosts of the activities of the CHF and noted that it saw this visit as an expected continuation of many years of successful collaboration. Of particular importance was the fact that both CHF Board of Directors member Ivo Jelušić MP and CHF director Marin Knezović we able in direct discussion to hear about and discuss the issues pertaining to the local Croatian minority community. Both the CCS of Montenegro and the CHF expressed their hope that this meeting would produce positive steps forward.
It was a particular honour to be present at the very high level CCS ball staged at Bečići near Budva. Being on hand for the celebration of St Tripun in Kotor was a memorable experience for the delegation from Zagreb. Our delegation was proud to join this unique celebration of a common Croatian culture and its centuries old traditions.
