On the panel to discuss the book were Koraljka Kuzman Šlogar DSc, an ethnologist with the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research in Zagreb, Irena Miholić DSc, a research fellow with the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research and co-author Jive Maász. Jive Maász also performed on the dude instrument to the delight of the audience.

Čunovo – Naše selo/Naša obec (Čunovo – Our Village), a monograph by authors Jive Maász and Jozef Mallinerits, was presented at the Croatian Heritage Foundation on June 11th. The publisher of the valuable work is the Croatian Culture Federation of Slovakia. 

The three hundred page bilingual Croatian-Slovakian monograph provides information never before published in this form and is a synthesis of facts known and previously unknown to the broader public. The book is both informative and educational and lavishly illustrated with photos and contemporary and historical maps. Croatian Heritage Foundation director Marin Knezović greeted the gathered at the promotion, moderated by the head of our publishing department Vesna Kukavica.Among those on hand were Dubravko Severinski of the State Office for Croatians Abroad, Dubravko Vidović from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Tihomir Tonković from the municipal office for education, culture and sports.
On hand on behalf of the Slovakian publisher were Marta Palešić, Marija Broz and the president of the Croatian Culture Federation in Slovakia Dr Radoslav Jankovič, and the book’s co-author Jozef Malinerits.
