Croatian diplomat and writer Tuga Tarle promoted her book Hrvatski iseljenički duhopis (Croatian Emigrant Spiritualogue) at Split’s Marko Marulić Municipal Library. The November 4 event was organised by the Split branch office of the Croatian Heritage Foundation.
Appearing at the promotion was the Brodosplit Municipal Choir. Presenting the author was the head of the CHF branch office Branka Bezić-Filipović. During the one-hour presentation and video the author presented a twenty-year cross section of experiences and insight into the fates of Croatian emigrants around the world, encompassing lives lived on three continents where she worked at Croatian diplomatic missions on the promotion of Croatian culture.
She spoke of the fates of many Croatians who pursued their happiness abroad. During the lecture she also spoke of the aid numerous emigrants have unselfishly provided to the homeland during the Homeland War of Independence and laid out in brief her vision of the need to establish an emigrant museum as a permanent commemoration to Croatians that have made a contribution to human heritage.
