The May issue of Matica magazine features a number of articles on the first ever Croatian Heritage Foundation Open Doors Day, the Book Night event and CHF prizes awarded to editors, translators and writers.

Along with many news items, reports and current events, the May issue of Matica magazine features a number of articles on the first ever Croatian Heritage Foundation Open Doors Day, the Book Night event and the CHF prizes awarded to editor Luka Budak from Australia, translators Ivo and Vinka Šoljan from the United States of America and writer Adolf Polegubić from Germany. Also read about the visit from a delegation of Holy Family Primary School of Geelong to Zagreb.

Teachers and their pupils from Hungary’s Serdahel (Tótszerdahely) and from the town of Prelog were on a reading stroll through Zagreb, American returnee V. P. Goss promoted his autobiography and the CHF is richer for books donated by the Morović family.

The latest issue brings you a number of interesting articles by Branka Pavić Blažetin, the chief editor of the Hrvatski glasnik portal in Hungary, and a review of Croatia—From the Seventh Century to the Present, the latest book by Dinko Šokčević, the head of the Hungarian Institute in Zagreb.
Also in the May issue are articles on Victor Dodig, a Canadian of Croatian extraction, Salzburg’s Delfa Kosić, researcher Marin Soljačic from Princeton and Marko Mandir, the youngest president of the oldest Croatian association in neighbouring Slovenia.

Noteworthy are articles by Vesna Kukavica on Fifty Years of the Pastoral Directorate for Croats Abroad and by Mirjana Ana-Maria Piskulić on Shoes that Waited for 52 Years.
