Acting director Mirjana Ana-Maria Piskulić of the Croatian Heritage Foundation declared the exhibition, which will be open through to the 21st of May, officially open. 

The Gallery of the Peasant Uprising Museum was the venue on the 28th of April for the opening of Floating World, an exhibition of the work of Canadian-Croatian painter Tomislav Dubičanac.

Dubičanac was on hand for the opening, joined by Ivan Tuđa who spoke about his work. The gathered were welcomed by the mayor of the Municipality of Gornja Stubica Jasmin Krizmanić and by Vlatka Filipčić Maligec, the museum’s director.

The artist also donated his painting of Matija Gubec, the famed leader of the peasant uprising, to the museum.

This exhibition continues on a collaboration between the CHF and this museum initiated by Nives Antoljak Kostadinov. The exhibition will be open through to the 21st of May.
