CHF director Mirjana Ana-Maria Piskulić presented the award to Dr Adolf Polegubić for his brilliant study on The Pastoral Care of Croatians in Germany.
On the 24th of April the Croatian Heritage Foundation hosted the Bag Full of Books round table at its Zagreb headquarters. The programme opened with Ivan Rogić’s presentation of the literary work of Vladimir Goss, also on hand to speak at the event. Short presentations were also offered by leading academics, researchers, translators and editors, including Milana Černalić and Jadranka Grbić Jakopović, Grozdana Cvitan, Olga Šram, Nada Zidar Bogadi, Daria Marjanović, Darko Mažuranić, Marija Belošević, Tuga Tarle, Marin Sopta, Vladan Čutura and Karolina Vrban Zrinski. Also taking part in the round table discussion was Šimun Šito Ćorić.
Acting CHF director Mirjana Ana-Maria Piskulić took the opportunity to present an award to Dr Adolf Polegubić for his brilliant study on The Pastoral Care of Croatians in Germany. The award is conferred on the basis of a unanimous decision by an evaluation commission in the Croatian Books Abroad project for exceptional achievement in cultural work.
The round table was accompanied by an exhibition of books by Croatian authors from fifty-five countries that are home to people of Croatian descent and from the indigenous Croatian minority communities in neighbouring countries.
