Croatian wildwater canoeist Emil Milihram is the overall winner of the Wildwater World Cup after winning the classic in Lofer, Austria. In the classic long race, Milihram, a native of Varaždin, was faster than Ondrej Rolenc of the Czech Republic and another Croatian representative, Tomislav Lepan, who finished third. In the overall standings, Milihram is a convincing first ahead of Frenchman Yann Claudepierre and Norman Weber of Germany. Tomislav Lepan finished the season fourth, while Igor Gojić was fifth overall. This is yet another indicator of just how dominant Croatian wildwater canoeists were this year. They returned from the World Championships in Spain with no less than five medals. They also confirmed their quality in the world cup races. (Hrt.hr)
